2011 Statewide Domestic Violence Conference

The Arkansas Legal Services Partnership and the Arkansas Coalition Against Domestic Violence are co-sponsoring this conference hosted by the Administrative Office of the Courts.
The Administrative Office of the Courts and cosponsors, Arkansas Legal Services Partnership and the Arkansas Coalition Against Domestic Violence, will host a multi-disciplinary conference on domestic violence and sexual assault titled, “"Policy, Partnership, Prevention: Taking a Coordinated Multidisciplinary Community Approach to Domestic Violence."
The conference will be held on September 29-30 in North Little Rock at the Wyndham Riverfront. The AOC is sponsoring twenty-eight multidisciplinary teams composed of four individuals. Team members will likely include judges, prosecutors, victim advocates, court clerks, law enforcement officers, victim assistance coordinators, victim service providers and hopefully, legal aid advocates.
ALSP will have an exhibit booth and will launch the first statewide interactive Order of Protection Form Packet. This resource also represents the first legal aid/court partnership justice technology project. Vince Morris will present this resource at 3:30 p.m. on September 29th.
CLE credit is pending for trainings at this conference. Legal aid staff can contact Vince Morris or Kim Marshall if interested in attending this event.
