A Pro Bono Task Force convened by the Legal Services Corporation (LSC) Board of Directors released its flagship report on October 2, 2012 during an event at the U.S.Capitol Visitors’ Center.
Washington, DC—An event celebrating the newly released report of a national Pro Bono Task Force convened by the board of the Legal Services Corporation (LSC) will take place on Monday, October 15, 2012, at the Chicago law office of DLA Piper.
In celebration of the upcoming one year anniversary of the launch of the first-of-its-kind iPhone app attorneys from across the state are encouraged to use their smart phone video camera to make a 10-30 second about why they provide pro bono work. Snippets will be collected and combined into the "iProBono" video collection and posted online.
Legal Aid of Arkansas will be assisting with the fourth annual HOPE 2012 at Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The event will be a one-stop resource for area homeless, who will have access to haircuts, eye exams, groceries, dental exams, veteran services, free lunch, and free legal advice. Legal advice will be provided by Legal Aid of Arkansas and the members of the Equal Access to Justice Panel.
