Free Legal Help Outreach

Sat, 06/26/2010 - 4:00pm - 6:00pm

Legal Aid of Arkansas will be at the Jones Center in Springdale every second Wednesday of June, July and August to provide information about legal services the organization offers.

The organization will have representatives at the center from 6 to 8 p.m. June 9, July 14 and Aug. 11. They will also be there from 2 to 4 p.m. on the final Saturdays of each month, June 26, July 31 and Aug. 28.

Legal Aid of Arkansas offers free legal help to low-income individuals and certain other qualifying individuals with civil problems. It also offers a helpline through which information about Legal Aid’s services can be found.

"Although our helpline has been well received by the community as the primary means of accessing our services, some folks are more comfortable discussing their legal problems in person with an attorney or paralegal," said Lee Richardson, executive director of Legal Aid.

Residents are asked to call Legal Aid at 479-442-0600 before the sessions to check qualification and to schedule an appointment.
