Susan Purtle's primary interest is in consumer law, but for close to 25 years she's assisted with family law cases. She also has experience with simple estate law.Susan has helped thousands of low income debtors since becoming a staff attorney with Legal Aid of Arkansas in 1990. She graduated from Hendrix College with a Bachelor of Arts in History and the Institute for Paralegal Training in Philadelphia PA. After receiving her paralegal certificate Susan worked for the Bexar County District Attorney in San Antonio, Texas. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1988.
She currently serves as Pro Bono Manager for the thirty one counties that Legal Aid of Arkansas serves and oversees a pro bono caseload of 650 cases annually. She specializes in consumer and debt issues. She is a member of the Washington County Law Library Board and the Benton, Washington and Arkansas Bar Associations. She is the proud mother of a 14 year old son, Alexander.
