Gov. Mike Beebe appointed Sherri L. Stewart of Mountain View to the State Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board. Stewart is the managing attorney of the Mountain View branch of Legal Aid of Arkansas Inc., which serves Stone, Cleburne and Van Buren counties providing civil legal assistance to low-income Arkansans.
Stewart also serves as the dependency-neglect attorney ad litem in Searcy County Juvenile Court. The board is made up of nine members appointed by the governor.
