The award, given each year by Legal Aid, a nonprofit corporation providing free legal services to low-income individuals, recognizes outstanding volunteerism and service to the residents of the county.

FAYETTEVILLE, May 1, 2010 - In observance of Law Day, May 1, 2010, Legal Aid of Arkansas announces that Blake Spears of Marianna has been chosen Volunteer Attorney of the Year for Lee County.  The award recognizes outstanding volunteerism and service to the residents of the county.  Spears donated over 26 hours of pro bono service to low-income clients during 2009.  His donation has a value of $3,975 to the community.
